
International Forum on Islamic Capital Market
The International Forum on Islamic Capital Market will be held in June.
The Eleventh International Forum on Islamic Capital Markets (ICM) conference will be held on June 16th and 17th. In this conference delegations and representatives from different countries will show up in the event. Tehran will be the host of this exciting forum. It is organized with the joint efforts of the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) cooperation with the Iranian association of Islamic Finance. The main theme of the forum is “developing Islamic finance products to resolve the financing needs of Islamic societies”. The event is composed of a two-day knowledge sharing forum that plans to raise some latest achievements in Islamic Finance.
The Stock Exchange is the regulator of the Iranian capital market. Hence, the sole responsibility is to provide a clear and comprehensive mechanism for the maximum protection of investors. One of the responsibilities of this event is the development of Sharia-compliant financial instruments. Besides, the Islamic Research and Development Institute is a subsidiary of the stock market in this area.
The Islamic Research and Development Institute is specifically established for the development of financial products of the Stock Exchange. And, in this organization, we try to design and implement Islamic mechanisms for the development of the Iranian capital market. This institution is responsible for editing research papers, publishing Islamic finance bulletins, organizing events in the Islamic stock market, managing the secretariat of the Islamic Council, etc.
Moreover, this institution is responsible for the development of the capital market in Iran—one of the activities is to hold international meetings of the Islamic Capital Market—in order to achieve a more appropriate solution through coordination and advancement of communications.
