The 8th International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) was held in Tehran from 19 to 22 June 2019, at the permanent exhibition fairground in Tehran. The exhibition was organized by the Pardis Technology Park with the association of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. The main motto of this round of exhibition was the “Ecosystem of Innovation and Technology”. It was intended to elevate the collaboration between investors, startups and tech firms.

It is pertinent to mention here, more than 400 startups, tech firms, sponsors, technology parks, inventors, growth centers, venture capitalists, mentors, and consultants attended the exhibition. Also, the fair welcomed more than 8,000 people that made it even more interesting and exciting.

In general, the world’s entrepreneurial events can be categorized into four areas of networking, education or training, investment, and collaboration and participation. The INOTEX annually hosts international exhibitions by identifying these events and collaborating with the main player of these events. Numerous of those events held before the exhibition and their results are reflected in INOTEX. During these 4 days of the exhibition, more than 30 different events were held, including meetings between start-ups and investors, B-to-B meetings, and counseling bodies. Consultative bodies were also formed that further energized the event.

Among the important events in the festival, the Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum, which was held in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), was attended by representatives from 63 different countries.

Furthermore, the thirty-ninth meeting of the heads of science and technology parks was also held at the time of the exhibition to review the latest developments in the field of science and technology parks and to provide expert opinions on technology development and assistance. The meeting was attended by the president of the Pardis Technology Park and other heads of science and technology parks.
